The Cross: Burden or Blessing

Is the cross a Burden or Blessing? From the cross, Jesus cried, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do." That is evidence of the burden and suffering that Jesus experienced. Paul's message(Philippians 3 & 4) is an affirmation of the cross. The cross is not just something to be consented to, it is something to be celebrated. The cross is not a burden. The cross is not a weight. It is the passport to an entirely different kingdom - a kingdom and life of glory...what a Blessing!
