Rev. Stephen Euper
Senior Pastor
In 2023, Reverend Stephen Euper became the senior pastor of First UMC. He comes to Wyandotte with 18 years of experience as an ordained United Methodist pastor. Previously Pastor Steve served as senior pastor at Ossineke UMC (2005-2010) and Roseville Trinity UMC (2012-2023). He is a graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary (2005) and the University of Michigan (1993). Prior to ordained ministry, he worked at Detroit Metropolitan UMC as pastor of Youth and College Age students, as a legislative assistant on Congressman John D. Dingell’s Washington D.C. staff, and as a legislative aid for Stuntz & Davis, P.C. on energy issues.
Pastor Steve has been formed in faith through growing up in a strong Christian home, numerous evangelical experiences as a youth, deep and regular Biblical study for many years and through experiencing the struggles that are inherent in this sinful world. Through it all, a deep trust in the plans that God has for his life and confidence in God’s unwavering love has become the hope that stirs Pastor Steve each day. It is also the cornerstone of the message that he is called to share as a pastor. He believes that there is not an encounter in this life that isn’t filled with the opportunity to experience the love and power of God.
Pastor Steve is married to Pastor Ava R. Euper, who is also serving as a United Methodist pastor in our area. He is the proud father of four; Henry (19), Grace (17), Lauren (15) and of a new born daughter Gloria-Zoe. The Euper family is already taken with the joy of living in Wyandotte! The vibrant downtown, the fun festivals, the beautiful river views, the excellent local restaurants, and the friendly people!
We anticipate the great things God will do through Wyandotte First UMC in these days. We welcome all to come, to lay there burdens down and to be filled with the grace of God for the living of these peculiar days we are in!

Hello, I am Robin I've been a member of this amazing church for 27 years. I have had the privilege of working on staff overseeing our Christian Education and Programs department for 20 years.
It's been incredible to see our children develop physically but as well as spiritually and fulfill the great commission. They are the voice, hands, and feet of Christ to a world still in need of Him. God can and will continue to use them for this time. I have an amazing team that helps in all areas of my department.

Hello, I'm David Waggoner and the Music Director here at Wyandotte First UMC. I am so fortunate to work with an amazing group of talented musicians through choirs, handbells, praise band and instrumentalists. I love being a part of making music and leading the congregation into worship.

Barbara Hall

Barbara is a dedicated and caring staff member who tends to Wyandotte First as if it's her own home. She maintains our large church with pride and continues to dedicate a great amount of time to caring for the building
In addition to Wyandotte First , Barbara currently works full time as a Bus Driver for Dearborn schools. Barabra shares that Dearborn is a wonderful place to work with all it’s smiling faces – only rivaled by the good people at Wyandotte First UMC.
