First United Methodist Church of Wyandotte is a community of persons seeking to be faithful to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to grow in the faith, to serve the kingdom of God, and to share God's Love.

God's grace informs who we are and what we do.  We are a fellowship of people open to persons of all walks of life, and it is in our relationships with one another that we find strength in and give support for a life of joy and faith.

We believe that faith is made evident in how we live our lives with one another.  Personal piety and social justice are two vital aspects of the Christian life.

The Sacrament of Holy Communion

Is offered once a month, and on holy days such as Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Easter, and Penecost.  Communion is open to all who seek a new life in Jesus Christ.  You need not be a member of this or any church.

The Sacrament of Baptism

It is celebrated during worship upon request.  Arrangements are to be made by contacting the pastor for an appointment, (734-282-9222).  Baptism is open to all, regardless of age, and is done in recognition of what Christ has done for us in the forgiveness of our Sin and the gift of eternal life.

Interested in Membership

We extend to you a cordial invitation to join our church family.  You may become a member either by Certificate of Transfer from the church where your present membership is recorded or by a personal statement of belief as a Christian.  Members are received regularly.  If you are interested in being part of a vibrant, exciting, servant oriented, community of faith, please contact the pastor at 734-282-9222 or
